ancestral data

Information about either pedigree or other description of ancestral information (e.g. parental variety in case of mutant or selection), e.g. A/3*B (meaning [(A x B) x B] x B). This term is also appropriate for organisms resulting from a mixture of varieties or breeds. For animals, male is mentioned before female (e.g., male breed 3 x [male breed 2 x (male breed 1 x female breed 1)]), while for plants the female is mentioned before male.
